     Cheryl Cole started her career in the entertainment industry as a British pop and R&B singer.  She rose to fame in 2002 when she won the reality TV show Popstars: The Rivals.  Cheryl was then placed as a member of the girl group called Girls Aloud.  With the band, Girls Aloud produced twenty consecutive top 10 singles.  When the group went on a haitus, Cheryl released two solo albums called 3 Words (2009) and Messy Little Raindrops (2010).  Both albums went to number one in the UK and the albums produced two hit singles called Fight for This Love and Promise This.  Cheryl is currently working on her third album and will be released sometime in 2012.


     Cheryl Cole is one of Britain's top stars and is currently of the judges on the reality TV show, The X Factor USA.  She is known for her stylish appearance and is known as a "fashionista."  Cheryl has been on the cover of popular magazines such as British Vogue and Elle.  As a member of Girls Aloud, Cheryl was endorsed by Barbie, Kit Kat, Nintendo DS, Samsung, and Sunsilk.  She is currently the face of the largest cosmetics and beauty company called L'Oreal. Cheryl made a her name in Britain and she is now getting more popular in the USA because of her appearances on The X Factor USA.

     Whitney Houston is one of the best female singers of all time.  She is on the Guiness World Records as the most awarded female singer with a total of 415 awards.  Her most notable awards were the 30 Billboard Awards, 22 American Music Awards, 6 Grammy Awards, and 2 Emmy Awards.  Whitney's I Will Always Love You has captured her countless awards and was her top selling single. Her other notable singles were Greatest Love of All, Saving All My Love for You, How Will I Know, I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me), Didn't We Almost Have it All, So Emotional, and Where Do Broken Hearts Go.  She debuted in 1985 with her first album called Whitney Houston and her last album came in 2009 and was titled, I Look to You.  She has released a total of seven albums in her career.  Whitney has sold over 55 million albums in the USA and has sold over 200 million singles and albums worldwide.  


     Whitney Houston has an amazing voice and was undoubtedly one of the top artists during the 80s and the 90s.  I Will Always Love You and The Greatest Love of All are timeless classics and will always be one of the greatest hits of all time.  During her early career, Whitney had a good reputation and was seen as a good role model.  That will eventually changed due to her infamous marriage to Bobby Brown and her addiction to alcohol and drugs.  Whitney Houston passed away at the age of 48 on February 11, 2012 in her room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.  Although she is gone, Whitney's everlasting legacy will always remain with fans from all around the world.

Gwen Stefani

     Gwen Stefani began her singing career as the lead vocalist for the rock band called No Doubt.  The band produced many number one hit singles such as Don't Speak, Hey Baby, Hella Good, Underneath it All and It's My Life.  Gwen would eventually break out as a solo artist and in 2004 she released her debut album titled, "Love. Angel. Music. Baby."  The album produced smashed hits like What You Waiting For, Rich Girl, Hollaback Girl, Cool, Luxurious, and Crash. In 2006, she released her second album called The Sweet Escape.  The second album was equally as successful as her first as it produced number one singles such as Wind It Up, 4 in the Morning and The Sweet Escape.  Gwen has sold over 40 million albums worldwide and won the World's Best Selling New Female Artist at the World Music Awards 2005.


     Gwen Stefani established her own clothing line in 2003 called L.A.M.B.  She expanded her clothing line called Harujuku Lovers, which featured inspiration from the Japanese culture and fashion.  Gwen has always been a fan of Japan and its culture and following the 2011 Japan's earthquake and tsunami, she donated $1 million to help aid the people of Japan who were affected by the disaster.  She halted her music career so she could start a family and raise her kids.  It was a tough decision for Gwen because she was on top of the music industry prior to her departure.  It will be nice to see Gwen make a comeback someday entertain her fans like she used it.

     Onika Tanya Maraj is a Trinidadian born American singer and is best known by her stage name as Nicki Minaj.  She released her debut album in November 2010 called Pink Friday and the album peaked at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200.  Nicki had hit singles such as Your Love, Moment 4 Life, Super Bass, Fly, and Turn Me On.  She became the first artist ever to hold seven singles at the same time on the Billboard Hot 100 list and was named the 2011 Rising Star by Billboard.  Nicki will release her second album on April 3, 2012 titled, "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded."


     Nicki Minaj's popularity skyrocketed in such a short period of time and is undoubtedly the fastest growing artist in the music industry.  Her stardom had attracted other top artists to collaborate with her.  She had recorded singles with Lil Wayne, Drake, Eminem, Rihanna, Diddy, and David Guetta.  Nicki's unique rapping style makes her stand out from all the other female rappers. Aside from her musical talents, Nicki is also known for having voluptuous curves and her unique sense of fashion.  2011 has been an amazing year for Nicki and with her new album coming out in April 2012, she is set to have an even bigger year.
