Salman Khan in another South remake

Salman Khan

After having tasted success with all his South Indian Remakes, Salman Khan will now remake another South Indian film, Kanchana, which is a horror-comedy. This film was released in Tamil on 22nd July this year, while the Telugu version was released a week earlier. Kanchana is a sequel to the Tamil hit movie Muni released in 2007.
This will be the sixth Salman Khan movie that is a remake of a hit South Indian movie, the others being Tere Naam (Sethu in Tamil), Bodyguard (Malayalam), Wanted (Pokkiri in Tamil), Ready (Telugu) and the under production Kick (Telugu).
Not only this, the 45 year old actor is keen on working in other South remakes as well. Films like Kandireega that had Ram and Hansika Motwani in lead roles, Dookudu starring Mahesh Babu & Samantha, Mirapakaay starring Ravi Teja & Richa Gangopadhyay and many other South movies are on the hit list of Salman Khan.
Coming back to Kanchana, the shooting for the Hindi version will reportedly take off in December and the movie will be released for 2012 Eid &  will be made in 3D. Considering that Salman Khan’s other Eid releases have been blockbusters, namely 2009 hit Wanted, 2010 hit Dabangg & 2011 release Bodyguard, we hope that Salman’s next Eid release Kanchana goes on to be an award winning venture as well. All the best, Sallu!!
